What is a Campus?A Campus is a secure Educadium website where you manage your teaching and learning activities. You’re able to create online classrooms and to assign roles and privileges to your users (administrators, teachers, students, etc.).
Which Package Should I Choose?Our sales and development team will work with you to determine the appropriate package type that meets your training needs and budget. If you’re a trainer or administrator, decide how many courses you might need, the kind of teaching materials you will use, and the number of registered learners you expect to have. You can start with just one class and grow from there. Upgrades and services that help you teach better and grow your business are available when you need them.
What If I’ve Never Taught an Online Class Before?We're here to help. We understand that many managers and trainers are most comfortable in a physical classroom. Whether you’re a pro or an absolute beginner, Educadium provides free course templates and the option of training for all teachers course builders. Our team can even customize an entire curriculum so that you can focus on teaching and facilitating.
How Do Learners Access My Course?Educadium makes it easy to register new students. You can enroll your learners by hand or, if you've subscribed, through a batch upload. Learners will have password-protected access to your secure online materials. In addition, more sophisticated single-sign-on (SSO) or other custom integrations are available, so that your learners are authenticated within the LMS platform from your corporate business site or school site. To reach a wider audience, you can allow the public to register for one of your courses with unlimited or guest access. At all times, you have complete control. We can also work with you to configure the multiple registration and enrollment options within the LMS to meet your preferences.
Can I Charge Tuition for a Course?Yes, you can. Educadium's LMS platform provides several different e-commerce solutions. You can deploy the PayPal, Authorize.net, Stripe or other payment systems to charge enrollment fees for individual courses, groups of courses or numerous different types of activities within your courses. These systems all route student or learner payments directly to your private e-commerce accounts, so you have real-time data on user payments. Courses can be configured to fully automate the registration, payment and enrollment process, so that your admin team or course managers don't have to manually manage any of these elements.
How Is My Educadium LMS integrated with My Web Site and Branding?Educadium sites let you create unique campus names and titles. Subscribers can customize their LMS with branding, theme coloring, custom layouts, logos and white labeling functionality. You can place a link to your online school on your Web site or in marketing materials and link to your social media accounts from the LMS. In addition, our development and professional services teams also provide extensive custom theme design services upon request. If you want your LMS site to look just like your corporate or personal website, we make that easy. In addition, the latest version of Educadium provides extensive content-management-system (CMS) functionality, allowing you to combine your website content with your LMS content.
What Kind of Hardware or Software Do I Need?Educadium’s LMS platform is a hosted, browser-based service and requires no special software. For browsers, we recommend the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or Opera. Internet Explorer 11 and other browsers, while not formally supported, should provide normal functionality for students/learners. Admin level users or course creators should use one of the supported browsers. To check if your system's browser and other software is up to date, visit http://www.supportdetails.com. Educadium is also fully mobile compatible and will dynamically adjust and present content to your learners based upon the device they're connecting with. There is also a free mobile app for learners accessing content which while unnecessary for compatible content delivery is available for all learners who want to use it. For best results, you’re encouraged to access your Educadium through a high-speed broadband service, and check to make sure you have adequate audio and video capabilities, including up to date drivers. Educadium will perform well on either a Mac or Windows or Linux-based computer. While broadband connections are recommended, we have numerous clients deploying content to users in more remote areas where dial-up or satellite connections are the only options. Educadium scales content efficiently for delivery to learners in such environments. Our professional services team is also available to advise you on the best kind of learning activities to utilize for learners you know to have hardware or connection limitations, to ensure they still are able to receive pedagogically sound, engaging content that reinforced your content's core subject matter and provides efficient evaluation options.
How Much Storage Space Will I Need?An average online course can take up to 50 MB of disk space. Your class may be larger or smaller, depending on the amount of teaching materials, multimedia, and student contributions. Larger videos, PowerPoint, multi-media presentations, SCORM and other materials can be uploaded and placed on Educadium course pages, or you can link out to content on sites such as YouTube or your own servers. Additional storage for subscribers is offered if needed. Educadium offers complimentary bandwidth, with a site allocation based on total users. We can also dynamically scale your user and storage limits based upon your needs.
Is My Content Secure?As a member of TRUSTe, we follow privacy guidelines and treat your content and mission-critical data like our own. Our team has extensive experience in large-scale hosted applications and has designed security and backup processes that ensure reliability and scalability. We also provide options for annual SSL certificate installation and maintenance, which is required for any sites using e-commerce functionality and recommended for all sites gathering learner personal information.
